Golf legend Gary Player calls PM Imran Khan his hero, similar to how Nelson Mandela was.
He applauds Imran Khan for raising the Kashmir issue at UN General Assembly.
Gary Player, who is considered by many as one of the greatest golfers ever, showered praise on the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan, calling the PM his ‘hero’ just like South Africa’s apartheid hero Nelson Mandela.
“Prime Minister [Imran Khan] I just like to get this message through to you, I have been following your leadership and I wished I had the words of Shakespeare and Winston Churchill to give you the credit that you deserve,” said Player in a video message.

“I am so proud of you what you are doing in the region, may Allah be with you all the time… you are one of my heroes as Nelson Mandela was,” he added.
Imran Khan has been receiving universal accolade for honestly putting up the plight of Kashmir and the Muslim world at large at the United Nations General Assembly.
Player, who won nine major championships on the regular tours, further said that PM Khan would need another two years to battle the challenges on hand. “May strength be with you, I know you have got many challenges and would need at least another two years, I would imagine to get your message across,” he added.
